Feedaptor starts with common merchant-feed names such as id, link, image_link, item_group_id, and product_type. It also recognizes several standard aliases. A custom feed may use different names, so verify that the mapped item ID, product URL, image URL, price, availability, and description contain the values you expect.
An empty mapped field is different from a field that contains an incorrect value. Fix the mapping when the data exists under another source column; fix the source when the correct value is missing or wrong. Merchant settings can supply an explicit seller-name or brand fallback where appropriate, but use a real value supported by the business and products. Do not invent a brand or identifier to clear a warning.
What to do
- Open a sample product and compare source values with mapped attributes.
- Map each required attribute to the correct source field.
- Set a merchant fallback only when it accurately applies to the feed.
- Re-audit and inspect several products, including variants and missing-value cases.
