Catalog access is tied to the signed-in account and workspace membership. Public marketing articles, examples, and free tools are separate from a customer catalog. Sharing a public Feedaptor article does not share your workspace. Sharing a downloaded artifact, however, shares its contents, so choose its recipients carefully.
Import the product data needed for the catalog workflow. Do not include customer orders, personal customer records, payment credentials, passwords, or API keys in a product feed or support message. A source URL intended for automatic retrieval must be publicly reachable, so use a product-feed endpoint designed for that purpose rather than a credential-bearing private link.
What to do
- Review a sample source file before importing a complete feed.
- Remove unrelated personal data and all secrets.
- Use workspace invitations instead of sharing a signed-in browser session.
- Treat downloaded audit files and backups as potentially sensitive business data.
