FEEDAPTOR / HOW TO

What should I do when a job is queued, retrying, or failed?

Inspect the cause and current job state before starting another operation.

A queued job is waiting to run. A running, validating, or exporting state means processing has begun. Retrying indicates that the runner will attempt the operation again after a delay. A failed job needs attention after its retry attempts or after a condition that cannot be resolved by waiting.

Read the error and check the source URL, supported format, import size, subscription state, store status, and remaining allowance. Creating many duplicate jobs can consume budget without fixing the source. If a batch is paused, resume it through batch controls before expecting its child jobs to proceed. Keep the job or batch reference when opening a support ticket so the operator can investigate the same operation.

What to do

  1. Open the feed job history or batch detail and copy the error and reference.
  2. Confirm the source is available and returns a valid feed.
  3. Correct the source, quota, store, or subscription condition.
  4. Retry the failed job or failed batch items once the cause is addressed.
  5. Open a ticket if progress remains stuck, including the approximate time and reference.
