FEEDAPTOR / HOW TO

How should I organize workspaces, stores, and feeds?

Use one workspace for a subscription, stores for merchants, and feeds for distinct source catalogs.

A workspace is the membership and collaboration boundary. Stores sit inside it and hold merchant context such as a domain and timezone. Feeds belong to stores and keep their own source snapshots, rules, review decisions, jobs, and releases. The Merchant subscription and usage allowances apply per workspace.

Use clearly named feeds for separate markets, currencies, or source systems. For example, a store can have distinct US and UK feeds rather than mixing currencies in one source. A descriptive name is safer than relying on a file name that changes on every export. Selecting a different workspace or store changes which records you are viewing.

What to do

  1. Name the workspace for the business or team that will own the subscription.
  2. Create a store for each merchant context, within the five-store allowance.
  3. Name feeds with their market, currency, and source purpose.
  4. Check the selected workspace and store before imports or bulk actions.
